This section shows horse-related pictures of both the founders of the CÓRDOBA LA VIEJA STUD (Francisco San Miguel Benitez and Lola Eraso Salinas, Kety Eraso and Rafael Vega, and Rafael Eraso and Blanca Luca de Tena) and the current owners of the stud (Francisco, Enrique, Lola, Rafael y Juan Ignacio San Miguel Eraso) and their offspring, who have lived, inherited and decided to keep the passion for the horse world, generally, and the anglo arabian breed, in particular, as their parents did.
You can also find in this section pictures of very good friends of the family which were, in times, outstanding figures in the Spanish horse world. Francisco Jimenez Alfaro y Alaminos, Marqués de Alhendin, and Fernando Lopez del Hierro, were olympics with the Spanish national team in the Amsterdam and Helsinki Opympics, and Fernando López del Hierro was also world recordman of long jump for 25 years.
This section shows pictures of the current owners of the stud, Francisco, Enrique, Lola, Rafael y Juan Ignacio San Miguel Eraso, who have lived, inherited and decided to keep the passion for the horse world as their parents did. Also their children, nephews and grandchildren appear, thus showing their liking of the equestrian activities from their young years.
There are also pictures of good friends of the family, among which stand out Miguel Angel de Cárdenas Osuna and Mª del Carmen Jimenez-Alfaro y Salas, Condes de Prado Castellano, Manolo Barbón López and Rafael Silvan Martinez.
Finally, their are recent pictures of the CUADRA RETIRO, created by Mr. Agustín Barbón Chacón, father in law of Francisco San Miguel Eraso. The current owners of the stable, brothers Agustín, Mariví, Manuel and Bolili Barbón López have also kept their father’s passion for horses in general and pure breed in particular, and have earned uncountable victories in the various Spanish racetracks.
This last section shows pictures which we deem interesting for the visitors of our web page, as well as pictures of the country estate where the CÓRDOBA LA VIEJA STUD is located.
